Owner and Agent

Steve is a multi-line insurance agent and the owner of Ellis Insurance Agency since 2002. With his experience and his continued education, Steve's expertise can guide you to the right product and personalized coverage that is perfect for you. He is a local in the thumb area and loves supporting our small community and local programs any chance he can. Steve is an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He enjoys anything outdoors and loves to be active with his wife, Carmin of 30+ years. His son, Cole, also works at the agency and and has a degree in insurance. While his daughter, Caitlin, and son-in-law, Corey, gave Steve his first grandbaby.

Agent

Cole is a multi-line insurance agent with Farm Bureau Insurance, dedicated to serving his community's diverse insurance needs. A Marlette native, Cole earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Saginaw Valley State University in May 2024 before launching his career. Outside the office, he is a youth leader at Hope Church alongside his fiancée, Kaylyn, and enjoys staying active at the local gym and participating in various outdoor activities.

Agent

Brad is a multi-line insurance agent and has been with the Ellis Insurance Agency since 2018 when he graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business - Insurance Risk Management. Brad is a Marlette native and loves working in his local community helping people understand their full scope of insurance needs. He is a recent newlywed to his wife, Kenzie. Brad is an outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing and all competitive sports.

Office Manager, CISR, Blue Cross Specialist, P/C Licensed

Melissa is our office manager and has worked at our agency since 1994. Melissa, or Missy as many know her, oversees the daily operations of our office and handles all our members' Blue Cross needs. Melissa also volunteers her time as financial director for Marlette Sports Boosters. In her free time, she enjoys camping, spending time with her family, and is adoring her first grandbaby, Grayson.

Agency Representative, CISR, P/C Licensed

When you walk through our office doors, Debbie is the staff member you will see. She is the face of our agency! Deb has been with our agency for 1991! All our clients know and love Debbie! Deb has been married to her husband Donnye for over 50 years and is a proud grandma to her three grandchildren. In her free time, she loves to travel, read, and play with her miniature dachshunds.

Agency Representative

Miranda has been an agency representative since 2023. Miranda comes to us with a world of knowledge in the agricultural and farm department and is a big asset to our agency. She lives in Marlette and loves to be a part of our team. In her free time, she loves riding and working with her horse, Bella, being outdoors, and being an avid thrifter.

Agency Representative, Social Media Organizer

Amber started out working in the Sanilac County Farm Bureau office in 2004 and transferred to our agency in 2010. Amber has been married to her husband, Jacob, for over 15 years and they have 3 children. Most of her time is spent watching her children play sports and volunteering as Communication Director/Concessions Organizer for Marlette Sports Booster. Amber loves good food, comedy shows, and traveling.
