Steve Ellis
Steve is a multi-line insurance agent and the owner of Ellis Insurance Agency. With 21 years of experience and his continued education, Steve's expertise can guide you to the right product and personalized coverage that is perfect for you. He is a local in the thumb area and loves supporting our small community and local programs any chance he can. Steve is an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He enjoys anything outdoors and loves to be active with his wife, Carmin, of 30 years. His son, Cole, has one year left of school and will have his degree in insurance. While his daughter, Caitlin, and son-in-law, Corey, are expecting and will be Steve’s first grandbaby.
Bradley Schaub
Brad is a multi-line insurance agent and has been with the Ellis Insurance Agency for 5 years now. He graduated in 2018 from Northwood University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business - Insurance Risk Management. Brad is a Marlette native and loves working in his local community helping people understand their full scope of insurance needs. He is a recent newlywed to his wife, Kenzie. Brad is an outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing and all competitive sports.
Melissa Kelly
Melissa is our office manager and has worked at our agency for 28 years. Melissa, or Missy as many know her, oversees the daily operations of our office and handles all our members' Blue Cross needs. Melissa also volunteers her time as financial director for Marlette Sports Boosters. In her free time, she enjoys camping, spending time with her family, and is adoring her first grandbaby, Grayson.
Debra Chappel
When you walk through our office doors, Debbie is the staff member you will see. She is the face of our agency! Deb has been with our agency for 32 years and counting! All our clients know and love Debbie! Deb has been married to her husband Donnye for 50 years and is a proud grandma of 3 grandchildren. In her free time, she loves to travel, read, and play with her miniature dachshunds.
Miranda Nugent
We are excited to have Miranda join us as a new agency representative. Miranda comes to us with a world of knowledge in the AG/Farm department and will be a big asset to our agency. She lives in Marlette and is excited to be a part of our team. In her free time, she loves riding and working with her horse, Bella, being outdoors, and being an avid thrifter.
Amber Bressman
Amber started out working in the Sanilac County Farm Bureau office in 2004 and transferred to our agency in 2010. She has worked a total of 15 years with Farm Bureau. Amber has been married to her husband, Jacob, for 15 years and they have 3 children. Most of her time is spent watching her children play sports and volunteering as Communication Director/Concessions Organizer for Marlette Sports Booster. Amber loves good food, comedy shows, and traveling.
Hannah Kady
Hannah is joining our team as a fully licensed insurance agent in Property/Casualty and Life/Health. She has experience in the insurance industry and is excited to work in her hometown. Hannah is a Marlette native and a 2017 graduate from Marlette High School. Hannah enjoys spending time with family and friends and mostly her favorite companion, Cooper, a mischievous Australian shepherd.
